Carl Inwood, Director of Metadata and Rights at Universal Music International, a Universal Music Group company, has been working within the music industry for more than ten years, being at the forefront of transformations in data standards from physical to those required in a fast evolving, innovative digital world. Prior to Universal, Carl Inwood was employed as Global Head of Standards at WEA, a Warner Music Group Company, where he was responsible for developing, setting and overseeing data standards for all products managed by Warner Music Group globally. Since then Carl has build on that expertise at Universal Music where he continues to conceive and drive metadata standards for both physical and digital products in over 35 repertoire owning countries worldwide.
