Hanns-Peter Frentz studied National Economics and Political Sciences. 1988-2000 he was sales manager and director of the German photoagency ullstein bild, 2001-2004 division manager marketing for the text and photo archives of Axel Springer publishing house, Hamburg/Berlin. Since July 2004 he is director of bpk Photoagency. Hanns-Peter Frentz is member of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fotografie. Since several years he writes articles and holds lectures on copyright questions.
