Robert Ashcroft, Chief Executive, PRS for Music (UK)

Robert Ashcroft joined PRS for Music as Chief Executive in January 2010.

A former Senior Vice President at Sony, Robert headed up its mobile products division in the United States and network services division in Europe, where he launched the Sony Connect Download service and StreamMan digital streaming service.

With a range of global experience – including The Walt Disney Company and Convergys Corporation – Robert now works on behalf of the members of the UK’s PRS for Music – some 65,000 songwriter, composer and music publishers – to ensure that their creative works’ are protected and rewarded whenever used.
